Children's Palliative Care
Coalition of Michigan
Our mission is to provide resources for, and to advocate for, medical professionals, volunteers and families caring for children with life-limiting illnesses, and to ensure the availability of compassionate, comprehensive care across the State of Michigan.
Registration is now open for the nationally-recognized End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium Pediatric Palliative Care (ELNEC-PPC) training, hosted virtually from Sparrow Hospital in Lansing on November 11 & 12, 2021, on the WebEx platform.
This live two-day course is designed to prepare nurses and other health professionals to provide quality care for infants, children, and adolescents with advanced illness and at the end of life. Pediatric and neonatal health care providers in any setting who want to increase their knowledge in end-of-life issues are invited to participate in this educational opportunity.
Thanks for support from the Sparrow Foundation, the training is being offered for $100, and individuals who attend the full course will earn 12 contact hours in social work or nursing (including 1 for pain) and will receive a certificate of completion from ELNEC. Caregivers are also welcome to attend a Bereaved Parent Panel for optional attendance at the end of Day 1 for an additional 1 contact hour.
Visit Sparrow.org/ELNEC-PPC for online registration or more information. Email Cindy Meteyer or 517-364-2022 with any questions. Registration and more information can also be found at childpalliative.org/end. View and/or forward the flyer to your colleagues.
