Charlie Waller

died on December 5th, 2013, aged five.
He had been diagnosed on April 1st, 2011, with DIPG, an inoperable brain stem tumor.
A memorial service at The People's Church in East Lansing, Michigan on December 19th, 2013,
was filled with children and adults. The children, many of who were Charlie's kindergarten classmates
came dressed as pirates, a testament to Charlie's unsuppressable spirit and sense of fun.
On the way out, one attendee commented,
"There may or not be a God, but, if there is not, we have to find another word for the love that filled the church today."
